The Infamous Masterson’s , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , promotes itself as a chic “hipster” locale , but my latest trip at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I encountered behind its doors was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .
The State of Affairs: Grimy and Neglected
From the moment I crossed the threshold, it was evident that cleanliness was not a priority at this bar . The floorboards were filthy, and a foul smell of old alcohol and filthy restrooms filled the entire establishment . Reeking of a mixture of ammonia , putrefaction and a sickly smell. The counter , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and debris that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The lavatory was in even worse condition — spilling over , with a snapped lever and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was human waste .

Many customers have reported witnessing insects darting across the serving surface and proof of vermin in the bar and house area . As I looked into it more , I was alarmed to find allegations against him involving predatory behavior , with multiple women alleging that he of distributing inappropriate messages .
